Volunteer With Us



Do you like to walk and are looking for a way to give back to your community? 

Join our growing network of volunteer walk leaders to help us support more adults in Nova Scotia to get out walking! NS Walks has local community-based walking groups. We are looking for people interested in leading gentle, fun, friendly regularly scheduled walks for adults who are currently less active. Take our free walk leader training to give you the skills and confidence to lead these walks. Some sessions are virtual (join from your home) and some are in person.

Training Outline:
In this online, interactive session, we'll cover the following:
  • Benefits of walking.
  • Setting the pace.
  • Planning accessible routes.
  • And much more.
  • Included will be breaks and a real walk in your community!

VIRTUAL
Date:  Saturday, April 13th, (register by April 11) - Register HERE  
This is a hybrid session that will be taking place in Liverpool

IN PERSON

Format:  Live in person (hybrid IE Zoom available) at the Thomas H. Raddall Library in Liverpool
