Digby Hiking Adventure

A portion of the proceeds will support Hike Nova Scotia!

In partnership with Hike Nova Scotia, Digby Pines proudly hosts this special “Hike-Eat-Stay” weekend getaway. Come hike with us as we explore the nearby North Mountain trails at Van Tassel Lake with two experienced guides. You’ll build up an appetite for a lovely meal designed by Chef Dale Nichols back at the Digby Pines and a soothing rest in one of its comfortable guest rooms. This adventure is available with or without accommodation.

The Hike

Ramble with two experienced local guides as we explore the North Mountain on a series of trails around Van Tassel Lake. There is a story to tell as we encounter foundations from a long-abandoned community that once surrounded the lake. Nature abounds and we will interpret the flora and fauna we encounter along the trail and around the lake. Be prepared for a few surprises. The distance is about 6 km return and is rated moderate in difficulty level.
