Tuesday, March 21 at 7 pm, Hike Nova Scotia’s Healthy Hiking Meals & Snacks webinar is geared for hikers and backpackers interested in creating or choosing healthy meals and snacks for day or overnight hiking. Join Deborah Peddle-Hann of Journey to Wellness as she helps you discover:
- The best and worst “snack foods” for the energy needed to hike
- How to get the best calories per ounce
- How to organize meals for multi-day trips
- How to get fruits and vegetables during longer hikes
- Dehydrating overview so you can start preparing for the summer hiking season now

Deborah Peddle-Hann is the founder and owner of
Journey to Wellness. Deborah is a fitness and wellness specialist, personal trainer and creator of the Virtual Fit Camp, a transformative community that helps busy women live their healthiest and best life with nutrition, fitness and accountability. She is an avid day-hiker and started multi-day backpacking two years ago during COVID. She devotes all her spare time to researching how to eat delicious and healthy food while on the trails, and has developed practical and lightweight systems and recipes, so you don’t feel deprived while in the backcountry.

Cost
Registration is required in advance. It is free for Hike NS paid members and $20 for non-members (who then receive a free one-year individual membership). There is a liimited number of spots available.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Hike NS requires one day of notice in order to reimburse anyone who wishes to cancel their registration (by 7 pm the day before the webinar). Sometimes Hike NS must cancel a webinar due to instructor illness, low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstance. If Hike NS has to cancel the webinar, you will be contacted as soon as possible and will be fully reimbursed. You will not be reimbursed if you missed the webinar because you could not find the webinar link. After registration you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the webinar.
