Abandoned Roads of Nova Scotia talk, hosted by
Patagonia Halifax, where author Steve Skafte talks about his new book
This River Was Once a Road, which features detailed stories and photos from a selection of 20 abandoned roads spread across the province. It will take place at
7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30) on
Thursday, June 26 at
Patagonia Halifax in downtown Halifax (408-1496 Lower Water Street). Light refreshments will be available.
Presenter
Steve Skafte is a writer and photographer from Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, where he's lived all his life. Since he turned twenty in 2007, he’s kept and shared an uninterrupted daily journal online, with stories and adventures from all over the wilds of the province — and how it felt to be there. Much of his time is wrapped up in finding forgotten human history that has been left behind in the woods. His most recent book is
This River Was Once a Road.
