About the Summit
The tenth annual Nova Scotia Hiking Summit is a celebration of hiking culture. Held in a different community each year, the 2024 Summit will take place on May 31, June 1 and June 2 (Friday to Sunday) in Antigonish. Avid hikers, hiking clubs, trail groups, provincial government, municipalities and others will attend. The Summit includes workshops, hiking stories, networking opportunities and, of course, hikes! It will shine a light on the beautiful trails found in and near the Antigonish area, keen trail groups and hiking leaders. Antigonish and area has lots of great hiking opportunities we will showcase throughout the Summit, however many trails sustained significant damage from Hurricane Fiona and some of that will be seen on Summit hikes.

Hosts, Sponsors & Location
The Hiking Summit is organized annually by Hike Nova Scotia. Our co-hosts are Keppoch Mountain, the Town of Antigonish and the County of Antigonish. The generous sponsors of this year’s Summit include: Town of Antigonish, County of Antigonish, AtlanTick Repellent Products and the Dairy Farmers of Nova Scotia.  We also thank Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore and MP Sean Fraser for their support.

The Summit will take place at Keppoch Mountain (Fri.) and at St. FX University in Antigonish (Sat. & Sun.).

Included in registration is access to food described below, evening events, morning workshop sessions and guided hikes. You must select one “Hiking Track” for the guided hikes. Please review the Hiking Track Details document before making your choices. This year, we are giving you a choice of guided hike packages for the weekend where for each hiking time slot, a hike is pre-selected for you. You will choose a track and get to complete each hike listed in the track, the only choice you need to make is for which track.
