Tick Prevention Webinar

Taking place on September 15 at 7 pm, Hike Nova Scotia’s Tick Prevention webinar is geared for new and experienced hikers interested in learning more about tick prevention. Join Lisa Ali Learning, founder and CEO of AtlanTick Repellent Products, as she helps us understand how ticks work, why you want to avoid them, and top bite-prevention tips. She will also share updates regarding Atlantick’s ongoing research partnership with Acadia University. Lots of great information you won’t want to miss.

Note: This is a live webinar only; there will be no recording available afterward.

Presenter
The presenter is Lisa Ali Learning, who loves to learn about new things, thrives on new challenges, and excels at finding ways to make things happen. After the sickness of both of her sons due to the ever-growing Lyme disease epidemic, Lisa launched AtlanTick Repellent Products Inc., a tick-safety company that takes an evidence-based approach to tick-bite safety, working alongside a group of scientists to develop safe, effective, prevention-based solutions for people, dogs and horses.

The webinar is offered in partnership with AtlanTick Repellent Products and the NS Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.

Cost
Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance. It is free for Hike NS paid members and $20 for non-members (who then receive a free one-year individual membership). There is a limited number of spots available as we want to give attendees a chance to ask questions and this is better facilitated with smaller groups.

Note: We recommend participating in the webinar electronically through your computer or device. If you experience audio or video issues, you can call-in in addition to or instead of electronically. Please note that, if you call-in, long distance charges will apply according to whatever arrangement you have with your telecommunications provider.
