Find walking routes through Walkabout. It also helps you count your steps if you use a pedometer. Enter your steps on its website to track your progress. Walkabout is a one-of-a-kind comprehensive walking initiative created especially for Nova Scotians, which aims to help re-create a culture of walking. It is lead by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia in partnership with the Ecology Action Centre and the Nova Scotia Department of Health Promotion and Protection. The website offers tools, routes and groups for walkers, plus campaign materials, supports for advocacy, and training of walking group leaders. Check out www.walkaboutns.ca.
